Tamale Bean Pot


  • 1lb ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 can garbanzo beans
  • 1 can mexicorn, drained (editor's note: this is a blend of corn and bell peppers)
  • 2 cans red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 dash tabasco
  • 2 cans tamales, papers removed, cut into 1-inch chunks


Preheat oven to 325F.

Brown beef, garlic, and chili powder. Mix with all other ingredients. Bake, covered, for 1 hour.
