Rose's Pepper Steak


  • 1 lb round steak
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 cup green pepper, cut into 1-inch squares
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 1 cup green onions, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, cut into wedges
  • 1 cup water


Cut beef (across grain) into thin strips.Mix soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Add beef, and set aside.

Heat oil. Add beef, and cook until browned. Turn up heat and add vegetables. Cook for about 10 minutes.Mix cornstarch with warm water, and add to pan. Stir and cook until thick.
