Pepper Steak


  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp white wine
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 lb steak, sliced diagonally into thin strips
  • 1 small onion, sliced thinly
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 small tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup beef broth


Combine and thoroughly mix one tablespoon of each of these ingredients:

  • soy sauce
  • wine
  • corn starch
  • oil

Toss mixture with the sliced steak.

Heat two tablespoons of oil in a frying pan. Add meat, cook quickly to brown. Set meat aside.

Add more oil to pan if needed, and sauté onions for one or two minutes. Add peppers and cook for one more minute. Add meat back to pan, along with tomatoes and broth. Bring mixture to a boil and add remaining ingredients, stirring constantly. Serve over rice.
